Like babies at play, the honeysuckle blossoms scamper along the vine.

Honeysuckle grows wild and as we walk through the countryside we smell it before we see it. Its sweet scent is known to every true Southerner.

My brother Pat put up about 50 bird houses on the family farm. This is one... still being used today. A dogwood tree surrounds it and somehow a deer antler found its way atop.

Thank you, Ginger Arrowsmith for giving me my first Georgia Blue Bonnets. For those of you who have never seen them, Georgia Blue Bonnets bloom in the morning and in the afternoon and are the most gorgeous iridescent periwinkle blue. Be careful if you decide to plant some. Stalky and hardy, they grow any and everywhere.
